On Monday, my company let 1400 employees go in a massive layoff throughout all the McClatchy newspapers. The Olympian cut 17 people. I wasn't one of them, but I know the paper lost some really great people.

Wow! 1400 people that is a lot. Not to mention the 17 from your place. That is too bad when they let good people go.
